my fam - an update
2002-06-11
For those who have heard about the massive forest fires plaguing my home city of Denver, you may at least rest assured that it is not affecting Benland, neither by the destruction of my home nor fire drills at work precipitating dodge ball tournaments in the parking lot. It did smell for a day, but the fires are miles and miles away from us. We're thinking we should do something to help, but all we can think of right now is to donate the princess's old clothes. My job is becoming more and more interesting to me, thanks to hypnosis therapy and hallucinogetics. My diet and exercise program has fallen by the wayside, which is unfortunate, because it was working. But on the other hand, there's peanut M&Ms. You see the dilemma. Trin continues to expand, which is delightful and magical to me, and pretty much pisses her off. This morning, however, she had the princess lying on her tummy, and with the added pressure, she said she could feel the baby's heartbeat. We're finally going to Disney World, because we got a free 3-day, 2-night trip to Orlando including hotel and airfare for attending a sales presentation on a travel club membership which we didn't join. 3 days and 2 nights means we are leaving the children (aah! plural!) with Trin's mom in Wyoming, and just the two of us will go. Without kids, we'll be able to hustle around and see maybe up to 3% of Walt Disney World. WOOHOO!! Hey, it's free. We're thinking April, next year. The princess is ridiculously adorable. It's absurd how gorgeous and sweet and lovable and brilliant she is. And very unfair to all the other little girls in the world, but then, it's lonely at the top, as they say. There can be only one pinnacle of evolution, sad but true.
